The debut album from The Strokes- originally released in 2001- and certainly grabbed my attention. It sounds very 'contemporary' or 'indie' - even though Im not a fan of either of those terms- but also with a nod to garage bands from the 60's and Rock n roll and pop bands from the 70's. Fucking great debut!
